FILMING IN MOSCOW

WIll host 12 games during the World Cup. Has 2 Stadiums involved into the World Cup: Luzhniki and Otkritie Arena.
The city has a wide choice of filming equipment available for rental as well as lots of great locations for filming.
Here we can provide OB-vans for your broadcasts and to help in building up a studio.

For filming at the Red Square or close to the Kremlin a special filming permit is required. We need at least 7-10 days for getting the papers done.
For filming downtown a general city permit is required. Processing time – 3-5 days.

Great unusuall locations for filming in Moscow where we can get the permits:

Bunker 42 – a cold war bunker in the heart of the city
Space school – a place where Kosmonauts and Astronauts are being trained. Take a ride on the centrifuge, try the space suit and eat borsch from a tube. Despite being really expensive – this filming location is one of the greatest places you’ll find in Russia.
Night life in the city. We will get you the permits to film inside the best clubs and bars in the city.

FILMING IN SAINT PETERSBURG

WIll host 7 games during the World Cup.
Has a great Stadium “Krestovskiy” or “Saint Petersburg Arena”.
The most beautiful city in Russia. Cathedrals, palaces, rivers and canals.
In Saint Petersburg we can source any equipment you may need – OB vans, cameras, lights, sound equipment, etc.
Also we know some great places for building up a studio!
Local english speaking and spanish speaking crew and fixers that speak your language.

Great unusuall locations for filming in Saint Petersburg where we can get the permits:

Vodka museum and a restaurant with a great vodka menu
Master class for painting a matrioshka doll or to cook borsch in a russian owen
Driving a soviet old-timer Gaz-21
Take a walk with an impersonator of Catherine the Great
Great view from a bell tower

 

FILMING IN KAZAN

WIll host 6 games during the World Cup.
Has a great Stadium “Kazan Arena”.
One of the most important russian cities. Has the biggest mosque in Europe.
Kazan is a great place for filming with a very interesting history and delicious food.
Local equipment rental is limited to some basic DSLR equipment + canon lenses.
Most sound equipment can be found in Kazan as well as LED lights and KinoFlos.
Anything that is more serious has to be brought from Moscow or Saint Petersburg.

Great locations for filming in Kazan where we can get the permits:

A local restaurant that cooks great tatar food
The Mosque Kul Sharif
Kazan Kremlin
A luxury train that goes from Moscow to Kazan. Take a ride on a part of the Trans-Siberian! (A filming permit for the Russian Railroads requires 2-3 weeks for being processed)

 

FILMING IN SOCHI

WIll host 6 games during the World Cup.
Has a great Stadium “Fisht”. It’s world known after the 2014 olympics.
The most southern city that will host the FIFA World Cup 2018. Filming here is a pleasure.
You can film at the sea side and than drive up to the mountains.
Local filming equipment rental doesn’t exist. Anything has to be brought from Moscow or Saint Petersburg.

Great locations for filming in Sochi where we can get the permits:

A local restaurant that cooks great local food – the shashlik with adzhika
Trecking and mountain activities
Having a boat trip, fishing and cooking fish at the ship

FILMING IN YEKATERINBURG or EKATERINBURG

WIll host 4 games during the World Cup.
Has a great Stadium “Yekaterinburg Arena”.
The most eastern city that will host the World Cup 2018 games. Formally it’s in Asia.
None of the host cities is closer to Siberia.
Most sound equipment can be found in Yekaterinburg as well as LED lights and KinoFlos.
It’s possible to find some Sony cameras (PMW350, FS-7) but the choice is very limited and often they are booked for long periods.
In most cases the filming equipment has to be brought from Moscow or Saint Petersburg.

Great locations for filming in Ekaterinburg where we can get the permits:

A rural life museum (2 hours of driving time from Yekaterinburg)
A Huskey dogs breeding farm
An Industrial museum
Precious stone cutting process

FILMING IN KALININGRAD

WIll host 4 games during the World Cup.  Has a nice stadium “Kaliningrad”.
The most easternt city that will host the FIFA World Cup 2018. Filming here is really great.
Sadly local filming equipment rental doesn’t exist. Anything has to be brought from Moscow or Saint Petersburg.

Great locations for filming in Kaliningrad where we can get the permits:

Amber harvesting and cutting
Local dance school with folk dances
Hiring a yacht to have a walk on the baltic sea

FILMING IN VOLGOGRAD

WIll host 4 games during the World Cup.
“Volgograd Arena” looks good.
This city has the tallest monument in Europe. It’s world known as the place where the bloodiest battle of the World War II took place.
A good place for filming. No filming equipment rental or filming facilities in the city. Anything has to be brought from Moscow or Saint Petersburg.

FILMING IN NIZHNIY NOVGOROD

WIll host 6 games during the World Cup.
“Stadium Nizhniy Novgorod” is really great for filming purposes.
The city has the only cableway in the world that is part of the city public transport system.
A great place for filming and for spending some days.

Filming locations in Nizhniy Novgorod for which we can get you access and filming permits during the World Cup:

The Kremlin of Nizhniy Novgorod (Not only Moscow has a Kremlin!)
The Main Fair
A matrioshka manuracturing plant
A Vodka factory
An incredible exhibit of soviet weapons that were produced in the city during the second world war
A great museum of soviet cars “Gaz” (or Volga)

Only basic DSLR equipment and LED lights available for rental. Anything else has to be brought from Moscow or Saint Petersburg.

FILMING IN ROSTOV-ON-DON

WIll host 5 games during the World Cup. “Rostov arena” looks good in frame.
A very interesting city with a great history.

Filming locations in Rostov-on-Don for which we can get you access and filming permits during the World Cup:

Kossack dancers, singers and real Kossack farms
Driving a soviet old timer through the city centre
Visiting an orthodox church
Incredible Soviet street art

Any filming equipment has to be brought from Moscow or Saint Petersburg. Local rental is impossible.

FILMING IN SAMARA

WIll host 6 games during the World Cup.  “Samara arena” looks really great!
One of the best cities for feeling what is Russia.

Filming locations in Samara for which we can get you access and filming permits during the World Cup:

Stalin’s bunker
Russian traditional banya (sauna) situated right on the river Volga
Learn to fish from a boat
Folk dance and singing. The city is well known by local musicians and artists

Only basic DSLR equipment and LED lights available for rental in Samara. Anything else has to be brought from Moscow or Saint Petersburg.

FILMING IN SARANSK

WIll host 4 games during the World Cup. “Mordovia Arena” looks great!
The smallest host city for FIFA World Cup 2018.

Filming locations in Saransk for which we can get you access and filming permits during the World Cup:

Biathlon training centre with a shooting range
An ice hockey school
A unique wood cutting school

Any filming equipment has to be brought from Moscow or Saint Petersburg. Local rental is impossible.
